CIF Southern Section Division Finals – Saturday, May 16

Congrats to Wade Gloyer (Pole Vault), Aiden Miller (800m) and Isabella Cavallari (Triple Jump) for qualifying to CIF SS Division 2 Finals!

Location – Moorpark High School

Start Times:

800m – 3:00pm

Boys D2 Pole Vault – 1:00pm

Girls D2 Triple Jump – Will follow Long Jump which begins at 10:00am

Senior Scholarship

This educational scholarship is open to graduating seniors from South High who have participated in South High Track & Field. Two $500 educational scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must be members in good standing of the South Torrance Track & Field Booster Club. Deadline to complete and submit application is Friday May 22 at 3pm. The deadline to submit your essay is Saturday, May 23. Scholarships will be awarded at the banquet.

End-of-Season Banquet

Our end-of-season banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26 at 6pm. If you paid your booster club sports contribution, your ticket which includes a delicious catered dinner is included.

The costs associated with running a program, including entry fees for meets, equipment and uniforms continue to rise and are not covered by the school. We are asking for a suggested parent contribution of $350 to help us cover essential team needs and this also covers the cost of your athlete attending the end of the season banquet. Also, senior athletes would be eligible to apply for a scholarship.

Every contribution, big or small, directly impacts our athletes and ensures the team has the resources it needs. Please consider making your contribution as soon as you can.
